Cookie Scanning Settings
Efilli’s Cookie Scanning feature is designed to detect and analyze all cookies running on your website. It helps you identify cookie types and ensure compliance with global data privacy laws.
Scan Depth
Scan depth determines how many pages will be crawled during the cookie scan. Some cookies only appear on specific pages, so a higher scan depth helps capture all cookies on the site.
Recommended minimum: 100–150 pages
Higher depth = more comprehensive detection
📌 If your site uses different cookies on different pages, increase the scan depth for complete coverage.
Domain to Be Scanned
This is the domain where the cookie scan will be performed.
To ensure accurate results:
Enter the full domain (e.g.,
https://www.example.com)If scanning subdomains, make sure to include them (e.g.,
shop.example.com)
Incorrect or incomplete domain entries may result in scanning the wrong pages and missing cookies.
Scheduled Cookie Scans
Efilli allows you to automate cookie scans by enabling periodic scanning when adding a domain.
To activate scheduled scans:
Check the “Periodic Cookie Scanning” box during domain setup.
Choose the scan frequency:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
This ensures your website is regularly checked for any new or updated cookies.
Starting a Scan
Click the “Start Scan” button to begin scanning your website.
The scan will cover the selected domain using the defined scan depth.
Duration may vary depending on the number of pages and site speed.
Once complete, a full cookie inventory will be available for analysis in your dashboard.
